You know you're stressed and have been reading too many books about aliens when even Christmas seems like Science Fiction. But this is exactly how I feel:

A Happy Moment
A few weeks ago, in a presentation I was giving on humanism and the alien, I was obliged to summarize the plot of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
Not as a joke.
Not as a loose metaphor.
Not as an entertaining aside.
But as a central part of my larger argument.
